Principal's Weekly Memo

Welcome Back!

2010-2011

The building is beautiful.  The teachers are preparing.  The office staff is excited to see children, parents, and friends back in our building!  We welcome several new families at all grade levels and we welcome back those who have been a part of our school family in the past.

Here are just a few reminders for all:

School opens for Grades K-8 on September 8th.  The doors open at 7:45 a.m. for early arrivals, but 8:00 a.m. is our actual first bell.  Please feel free if you choose to bring your children into the building on this first exciting day of the new school year. School starts for PreK on Monday, September 13th at 8:00 a.m.

Buses may run late.  Don’t panic!  It always takes a few days to get the routes straightened out.  We are well of aware of this and will be waiting for our bus students at the doors to be sure they get to their classrooms.  Bus students who arrive late due to these first few “hitches” will not be marked tardy!

Lunches will not be available the first week of school, so all students will have to “brown bag” it.  Milk will available.  When we return to school families will be able to order lunches on line.  In your opening packet – sent home with your oldest child on the first day – you will receive a letter explaining how to go about ordering.  You will also receive the codes necessary to do so.

Parent Handbooks are found in the front of your child’s agenda.  Please look it over carefully.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 789-1828.

We know that some of our recently registered families may not yet have uniforms.  We just ask that your children dress neatly until the uniforms arrive.  Should you be experiencing a long delay you can notify the office and we will contact the uniform company!

Our Opening Mass will actually be a bit later than usual as it will be a mass with Bishop Clark on September 28th at 10:30 a.m.  Again, our friends from the other Catholic schools in the Finger Lakes will be joining us – about 800 strong at St. Stephen’s Church.  Please mark your calendars for this wonderful celebration.  St. Francis-St. Stephen’s will be providing the music ministry for that mass, so you will find a letter and sign up sheet with your first Friday memo.

Again, we thank you for your support and look forward to another wonderful year.

God bless you all!

Mrs. Morrow
